Introduction

My first tale is a love story set in Dubai about two people who struggle with many obstacles in their path to find a way to be together. The two main characters, Asma and 3bdulla, face many challenges that threaten to break them apart. Will Asma be able to have the fairytale she had always dreamed about? And will 3bdulla find enough will power to fight for the girl he can never have?

“He was now only inches away from my face and my mind was suddenly back. Aware. Again, my heart accelerated into frenzy and my legs again, locked into place. He cupped my wet cheeks with his hands and smiled the most light warming, beautiful smile. He let his hands drop slowly, twining his fingers together behind my back protectively. I could smell his sweet scent crawling up my nostrils. He was just as I’d remembered him so long ago. He knelt his face to my left ear almost resting his chin on my shoulder and whispered the words that sent shivers down my spine…”
I have always been obsessed with love stories; with fantasies that I try to convince myself can be turned into reality. I guess every girl at some point in her life wished to be living a fairy tale. Some actually got their wish, but those who did curse themselves for having wanted such a thing. For what they received was nothing similar to what books and movies led them to believe.
Ignorance was never bliss in these cases. We never wonder what happens after a book or a movie ends, for certainly the lives of the characters don’t just stop when everything feels right. The envy we feel towards these fictional characters is part of our ignorance, for their lives aren’t perfect. There is more truth in fictional pieces than we allow ourselves to believe. The problem is that we are bent on believing the things that do only exist in movies and ignore the life lessons embedded within. The most important thing however, the biggest mistake for a person to ever make, is to compare these fictional characters to our lives and others’, but we never realize that we ourselves are living out their joys and sorrows everyday. And that is why we can sympathize with them.
I think I have spoken too much, but I want to show you through this blog that in a world full of corruption, betrayal, hate and jealousy, love is what keeps us going. Love is that wave of light in the darkest corner that brings life back into an empty room.

I hope you follow up with the next post. I just wanted to note that this blog is fictional. Please feel free to share any comments or questions, and I truly hope you enjoy this story :D Stay tuned.
